TORONTO CRAFT MINUTES

September Meeting:

hacking away at embroidery
a workshop with the lovely and talented Hadassah Hill
Sunday, September 14, 3 pm
at the Green Room

Tons of crafters braved the threatening rain and came out to the Green Room to hack away at embroidery. Hadassah came elegantly decked out in embroidered attire from head to foot. Despite the "romantic" lighting, everyone managed to thread their needles and figure out the chain stitch. Subject matter ranged from hearts and flowers to cocktail glasses, toilets and turds. Send pictures of your projects! Somebody lost their scissors, so if anyone picked them up, please bring them to the next meeting.

Please e-mail Sister Good and Sister Evil at thegood AT churchofcraft DOT org for more information.

We're a small (and growing) grassroots crafty collective rebelling against the culture of mass production. Not only are the things we create our own, but in this glossy, fabricated world, the simple act of creation is transcendent. I.e., we make things because it makes us happy.
