Papermaking Workshop
Sunday, April 25th, 12 - 5pm
at Damian's Loft (Dupont & Ossington)
This was one of the most fun Church of Craft meetings yet! A horde of ladies
took over Damian's awesome loft, shredded bits of used paper into colourful piles, blended it up into mushy pulp,
tossed it into a gigantic bucket, scooped it onto screens, sponged it dry, peeled it off, ironed it flat, and passed it on.
This was the most un-housewife-ish use of blenders and irons that I've ever seen. Everyone got dirty with pink and green pulp.
And we all had some pretty rad looking paper to show for ourselves at the end of the day. I know mine is sitting with all
my other miscellaneous craft junk waiting for another rainy day, but hopefully it will soon be transformed into cards and
handmade books and boxes and ...
Thanks Damian!

We're a small (and growing)
grassroots crafty collective rebelling against the culture of
mass production. Not only are the things we create our own, but in this
glossy, fabricated world, the simple act of creation is transcendent. I.e., we make things because
it makes us happy.
