Crafters Need Vitamin D Too
Sunday April 22
1:00pm - 4:00pm
Dufferin Grove Park

I'm going to think positively about getting some sun and working with my hands - to stay warm - on Sunday, April 22 in Dufferin Grove Park and maybe the univeral weather being-things will hear me. Isn't that what the hokey 'Secret' is all about?? Let's all do it!
I believe the 22nd is also Earth Day so let's make stuff in nature - between 1pm and 5pm. Treats will be provided.
Also, if you happen to have a Facebook account -and judging by the people that've found me there, many of you probably do - I've set up a Church of Craft group to help me out where the official Church of Craft website can't (ie. stay current).
Two more little announcements:
1. Saturday, April 21 is Good Catch's April Showers Craft Fair! Check out the lovely poster here: http://www.goodcatch.ca/aprilshowers.html
2. Do you think about making stuff a lot? Do you think about why you and others are involved in Toronto's craft community? Check out Toronto Craft Alert's March 29th (torontocraftalert.blogspot.com) post regarding the 1st ever Craft Congress held in Pittsburgh. Jen (of TCA), Becky (of Sweetie Pie Press and the Good Catch shows) and I attended and now that we have a general idea of what other communities are doing and thinking, we're wondering what Toronto diyers are thinking.

We're a small (and growing)
grassroots crafty collective rebelling against the culture of
mass production. Not only are the things we create our own, but in this
glossy, fabricated world, the simple act of creation is transcendent (i.e., we make things because
it makes us happy).
