TORONTO CRAFT MINUTES

  Feeling Dirty? Make Soap!

Sunday November 11
1:00pm
- 4:00pm
Location TBA

Hello, Those Partial to Handmaking!

Feel a little dirty this fall? Get squeaky clean with soap made by you!

For a PWYC donation, you could learn to make your own preservative-free, vegetable glycerin soap with Tracey of Anarres Health, esteemed (and very clean) soap maker.

In other stuff...

As many, if not all of you know City of Craft - this amazing craft fair/exhibition/thingy - is happening December 1 and we need volunteers! If you love chaos, calming chaos, craft, and have some time to spare between now and sometime around 9pm on December 1 contact City of Craft: cityofcraft@gmail.com Cities work best when their fantastically crafty citizens get involved!

Also, we need some supplies for workshops so if you got the following gathering dust in your place donate it to City of Craft - you could do this via The Church of Craft. Any unused supplies donated will probably be put into the Church of Craft supply to be used in future workshops.

Supplies needed:
fabric and fabric scraps
paper/scrapbooking embelishments - ie. glitter, one-flat-sided wackiness
glue sticks or white glue
yarn
pencil crayons

I think that's it for now...

In Craft,

Leah

We're a small (and growing) grassroots crafty collective rebelling against the culture of mass production. Not only are the things we create our own, but in this glossy, fabricated world, the simple act of creation is transcendent (i.e., we make things because it makes us happy).
