TORONTO CRAFT MINUTES

  City of Craft

Saturday, December 1
11:00am
- 8:00pm
The Theatre Centre
1087 Queen Street West

I've gotten lots of inquiries about Pedal to the Metal this year, and instead of a strictly Church of Craft event, I'm joining forces with Becky Johnson of Sweetie Pie Press and Jen Anisef of the Toronto Craft Alert to put together City of Craft(!) on December 1.

There's been mention of this in other announcements and you've maybe even gotten word of this, but to refresh your memory:

"This is a community-based craft culture event where local guilds, community-arts groups, craft based initiatives/projects, studios, and other organisations are invited to do outreach to the public alongside a curated craft fair and craft-based installations. City of Craft is a place to buy, observe, experience, chat about, share and reimagine all things handmade."

Sounds like pretty amazing fun, huh?

More info can be found here: http://www.cityofcraft.com so tell your friends!

in craft,

Leah (& Becky & Jen)

We're a small (and growing) grassroots crafty collective rebelling against the culture of mass production. Not only are the things we create our own, but in this glossy, fabricated world, the simple act of creation is transcendent (i.e., we make things because it makes us happy).
